Urus S
As the new introductory Urus option, the Urus S brings with it a series of mild changes to subtly differentiate it from the ultimate Performante variant, but whilst still making it the very best in sporting luxury. A new front end-design coupled with shiny black bonnet vents, alongside re-profiled exhaust tailpipes and air vents behind the rear wheels just do enough to make the Urus S appear fresh and contemporary.
In terms of performance figures, even though the Urus S doesn’t produce the outrageous numbers done by the Performante, it still develops sufficient power and torque to excite your senses. At 657bhp, 850Nm torque, 190mph top speed, and accelerating from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds, the Urus S serves up as much supercar-destroying performance as you’ll ever need, yet does so in a wonderfully cohesive, well-designed package.
And it is not just the engineering that makes the Urus S an impeccably everyday SUV. Many would point at the levels of interior customisation as one of the Urus’s strongest assets. Our example’s Bi-colour Sportivo Nero Ade and Verde Fauns Alcantara interior separates it from other SUV’s which don’t quite hit the mark in regard to ergonomics, theatre, and useability. The distinctive flashes of green inside reflects the dramatic character of the Urus S – Lamborghini have always been the wildest of carmakers, and the Urus embodies this spirit in a tractable, family-oriented package.
Whilst the ‘S’ derivative of Urus may be ‘entry level’, it boasts one of the strongest standard feature lists of any prestige vehicle. With Head Up Display, adaptive cruise control, adaptive air suspension, 4-wheel steering, 440mm carbon ceramic brakes, and adaptable driving modes, amongst many others, the Urus offers all the technology you could ever wish for.
On top of this, our Urus S offers an extensive list of optional features, including a B&O sound system, ventilated and massage seats, ANIMA with off road modes, and various Ad Personam touches (Lamborghini’s bespoke department where the sky is the limit) to name a few, that capture the identity of Urus: Italian design, luxury, & flair, but with a sporty, focused demeanour.
